Great fruit bomb, powerful and balanced, the only thing that prevents me from buying a bottle is the fact that the notes of ripe papaya are already borderline to overripe. I don't like overripe papayas (yes, taste moldy and earthy). Anyhow, overall really great!

Long, warm, fruity, spicy, zesty, oak wood, some herbs, probably a tad bitter in the finish, not drying |
Wonderful fruitbomb though not quite like the fruitiness of late 80s / early 90s Irish. Nose: Very bright notes of rather ripe fruits, particularly pineapple, papaya. Sweet candied citrus and some haribo. Taste: Same fruitness as the nose. Punchier than expected. Finish: Not the longest but surely very enjoable. Slightly sour with a hint of green grape. Little bit of oak to balance out the uber-fruitniess.
Every tropical fruit imaginable. A fruit bomb that warns you in the nose. Watch out, it explodes in the mouth! And the finish is not lacking.
Glenturret from the 35th Anniversary Edition. When it went on sale for just under 800 euros, the Glenturret does everything right on the light fruity side. It impresses with its extreme fruitiness and sweetness, the herbal notes form a harmonious counterpoint and make the whisky appear very elegant. Even fans of dark, heavy sherry whisky will definitely get their money's worth here. For a change, this Glenturret is a light fruity highlight that impresses with its balance and fruitiness. 92 points from me. From a 2cl sample. Thanks to Basti – Whisky Germany.
A combination of wax and fruit that overwhelms you.
Candied orange, marzipan, pineapple, banana, papaya, peach, cinnamon, cloves, oak, vanilla, uberfruity, excellent
Tried in direct comparison to WB130903. Very very similar, although I have to say that I like the other one a tiny bit better. Both are of a very high standard. For anyone who likes this dram, I recommend the Glenturret Single Casks that SV bottled between 2017-2019. 91-100 – Whisky heaven, best stuff

The nose is outstanding and practically the same as WB130903. The best tropical fruits you can imagine. Blind, you would hardly be able to tell the two bottlings apart. This one leans slightly towards vanilla, the 89 is a bit sweeter. |

Fruity and intense. Very stimulating. I could keep it in my mouth forever. |

Very fruity and heavenly. However, it becomes slightly sour, so for me it's no longer at the highest level. |
If you like fruit explosions, you should definitely try this whisky. Would love to take a bath in it and kiss a cloud.

Slightly dusty right after pouring, then the fruit gradually comes through. Mushy, ripe bananas, papaya, ripe mango, and a few green grape seeds. It takes a while, but then it's off the mark... Tropical bomb. :-)
Beautiful fruity maturation with notes that are reminiscent of bygone times > even of some long-filled bottles with the famous old bottle flavor. Shows what a good, long-matured ex-bourbon bottling can do. A feast for every fan of these malts.

Very nice, wonderfully ripened fruit compote. Straightforward with no missing notes. Reminds me of the very good 88/89 Signatory a few years ago. The only problem is that nowadays you pay 4 times as much for it, but that's a different topic. For me, there are equivalent whiskys with better PLV.
Thanks Dean Koh for the dram. A lovely Glenturret, with the nose keep changing over time.

On the nose ripe stonefruits, yellow plums, apricots and caramel fudge. Jellybears, peach and shortcrust. Nesquik and Pear marmalade. Absolutely to die for and for me in a row with that spectacular Craigellachie 31. . On the palate waxy, peaches, mangos, pineapples, old bottle Flavour, fruity pipe tobacco and summer honey - even a bit herbal. Putting a big smile in my face and stunning the whole audience in the tasting. . The finish stays spectacularly long with notes of an orchard garden, Citrus, apple pie, warm croissants with apricot marmalade
Tropical fruit bomb, I love it.
Colour: golden. Nose: oh, it's really quite special, not peaty this time (phew) and primarily based on fir honey, wax polish, beeswax, lanolin, a bit of turpentine, old yellow chartreuse, castor oil, and finally, mirabelle plums so ripe that they're on the verge of fermenting. All this is quite sublime, in fact. With a little water: hardly any change, but should one complain? Mouth (neat): fantastic, you could even make the decision to call the Anti-Maltoporn Brigade now. Honeys of all kinds, precious woods, gentle herbal teas and dried fruits, waxes, small citrus fruits... With water: once again, the water doesn't change much. There might be a bit more candied citrus, especially some very sublime bergamots. Finish: medium length, indeed on waxes, honeys and citrus. It's only at the very end that a tiny bit of woodiness appears, almost tiptoeing in. Comments: a very great old Glenturret on wax and honey which, in reality, hardly needs any water at all. This is what we call an anniversary bottling. SGP:651 - 92 points. Notes by Whiskyfun

What a fruit bomb. Incredible. Such a balanced dram with such great sweetness and insanely great bright fruits. I've never had anything so exciting in my glass before. The barrel notes are so well integrated despite the long storage and add that great old bottle character. For me, the Laphroaig from the same series is the best I've had in my glass so far!
