В носовых описаниях чаще всего повторяются сухофрукты и шерри-древесина: изюм, черри, цукаты, варенье, оранжевые и красные фрукты, кожа, старая пыльная древесина, специи (мускат, гвоздика), а также шоколад, карамель/ирис и орехи. Несколько отзывов отдельно отмечают нотки серы, пыльности, плесени или старого дерева, а также развитие аромата со временем и после добавления воды — вплоть до банана, ванили и сливочной выпечки. Нос нередко называют самой сильной частью виски и «олдскульным шерри» в лучшем виде. По вкусу картина менее единодушна: часть отзывов хвалит плотный, маслянистый и сбалансированный шерри-профиль с сухофруктами, специями, дубом, шоколадом и какао, тогда как другие называют его водянистым, слишком крепким, горьковатым или разочаровывающим после носа. Нос	86	An interesting nose, it had everything, sulphur, chocolate, dried fruits, salt, minerality. But not clearly.
Вкус	85	Crumpled, like watery with sulfur and no pronounced sherry notes.

Comparing directly to the first edition from 2011 that was a bit sweeter and more fruity while this one is a bit more woody and spicy which is as expected. Very good!

What a wonderful malt, for me it embodies the pure Speyside. Oldschool sherry malt whisky at its finest, I'm in heaven. Nose: Oldschool Sherrymuff !!! Preserved bright fruits on bee sting (cake). Sweet grapes and nuts with herb honey (rosemary). Notes of Mon Chéri and cognac waft over this malt ... simply delicious! Palate: Sweet and oily, it flows almost waxy on the tongue. This malt is full-bodied, has an extremely dense texture without appearing closed and is nevertheless extremely balanced, everything you had in your nose can be found on the palate! Heavenly!!! Finish: Long and harmonious with a great residual sweetness that acts as a counterweight to the wood. Slightly astringent, the finish ends in a delicate chocolate note with a hint of liquorice. Much more is not possible!

N: Heavy butterscotch & orange liqueur, buttery [almost waxy] grasses, sweet citrus putty, moth balls [an indirect piano reference], deep damp mouldy felt,... though ive not come across such a forlorn piano for a while. This nose is all about the mould (cheese and mushroom purveyors need apply). T: Butterscotch oak, popcorn, mild herbal heather, sweet mould, dry wood mould,.... F: .... so far so good, but then there's a rather blatant sherry 'dump' - but hey, that's sometimes the nature of the thing with heavily sherried malts. C: That nose storms it and the palate ain't half bad either.Scores a B[+]

Нос	89	The aromas are initially brown sugar, minerals, and sulfur. After a short rest, they develop notes of grape juice, orange juice, honey, and woody spices. After about 15 minutes of decanting, aromas of chocolate cake, cream, toffee, and roasted hazelnuts will also emerge.
Вкус	88	The first part consists of grape juice, brown sugar, and ginger juice; the middle part contains cinnamon, toast, woody, fermented apples; and the last part includes chocolate, cinnamon, apple cores, caramel macchiato, and herbs.
Финиш	88	Caramel, mint, cardamom, toffee, grape seed, a hint of woody bitterness, with a gentle and lingering finish.

Delicate, round, old, no junk - but nothing that makes me immediately click the buy button - nose is also a touch too sour to be perfect. Complaining at a high level - the price appropriate

Нос	90	Oak dust with a slight touch of resin, mint, old oak, buttery sweetish - floral nectar deposits that blend with oily-creamy-soft citrus notes complex and tell me straight from long Fassreifung, intense sour-sweet oranges of an intensity as you know of oranges TicTac, a red fruit fresh acid with which I passed associated medium ripe raspberries and redcurrants, freshly cooked strawberry jam, a barely perceptible gunpowder / burned match note - which betrays its origin but remains very subtle.
Вкус	86	Fruit porridge with lots of cherries and creamy vanilla sauce, very nice texture, fresh spicy tart oak with cocoa, chocolate and nuts, sulfurized raisins, some pepper
Финиш	87	MonCherie, dry crunchy oak, beautiful fine-sour oak tannins - runs out medium to long and then remains dry spicy for quite a while on the tongue

Нос	—	Rich, dried fruits,old olorosso Sherry,dried raisins,sultanas and black cherries, along with ripe hedgerow fruits, mulberry jam and a tickle of leather. Old spicy and complex. With water: more sweet cake mix,dries cherry and plum. Mmm lovely.
Вкус	—	This gentle quality continuous. Slow paced, with those sweet dried fruits,roasted its and mature autumn fruits.
Финиш	—	When neat, soft and wistful. Lovely long. Nice.

Sauleckeres part, especially wonderful nose, because I could have fumbled on, quite varied, there is a lot of rum. In this respect, it is almost difficult not to be disappointed when drinking - the taste is of course great, but the complete nose carnival is not shown there, is not even. Price outside of my normal budget, but should be appropriate for 'such a yummy OA this age.

Вкус	—	strong, full-bodied, chocolate, cocoa, nougat ... Dominoes (gingerbread, apricot jam) ... longer in the mouth: old stairs with floor wax, old leather, something really dark-cherry again
Финиш	—	long, cocoa, black cherry, a bit resinous ... then warm and dry

Нос	88	Intense and dark sherry, slightly sweet, dried fruit, some lemon zest, spicy with a slight mustiness, moist wood, very well integrated alcohol. Over time, a distinct banana note evolves, superimposing all other smells in between. Later, sweet flavors of vanilla kipper and shortbread develop.
Вкус	89	Spicy onset, sweet sherry, then ginger, some pepper and clear oak come through, dark, slightly bitter cocoa powder lies dry on the tongue, spicy oak notes initiate the finish.
Финиш	88	Long, creamy with dark chocolate, cocoa chips and walnut.

Нос	88	A little thin, good sherry, caramel, very elegant and fragrant, dried fruits.
Вкус	90	Coffee or maybe even espresso, strong, a little bitter.
Финиш	86	Disappears rather quickly, therefore not as full-bodied, rather too flat at the back.

Nutty on the nose, light fruits (mirabelle plum, mango !, apricot) and lots of delicious honey. In the mouth the alcohol is not noticeable at all, it repeats itself from the nose: a lot of honey, apricot, mango, slightly herbaceous, chocolatey, slightly dry in the finish, minimal oak, dark chocolate, tobacco and red berries ... very long. It picked me up well, it was all right, delicious and a great piece! More points would only have been given for more complexity!
