Top whisky, but 140 € would be a bit steep for me ... I would have liked at least still an official fruit note in the taste.

Нос	—	juicy-fruity, orange, peach, apricot, tangerine, with a velvety-woody note, some cinnamon ... after a long period of use - tobacco, resin, pine needles
Вкус	—	a lot of oak - dark chocolate, walnut, coffee, leather, tobacco, very dry in the mouth, in between now and then a fruity-sour note, which I can not really grasp, sometimes dark berries, sometimes citrus
Финиш	—	long and strangely neither bitter nor sharp, only a light, warm, velvety pungency, a touch of blueberries and blackberries, latte, tobacco

[August, 2016] Together with friends I emptied bottle no. 2066 that I bought for 144,50 Euro in July, 2016. In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 90. My notes state "excellent as usual". [November, 2019] I opened a sample tonight to do a proper tasting note, finally. And my taste buds confirm a fine and easy quaffable 'farclas but it lacks both complexity and power to scratch the 90 points barrier.

Нос	90	The colour is amber and the nose offers a very fruity profile with rather shy sherry aromas only. The fruits are both exotic and home-grown as well as ripe (e.g., mango) and green (e.g., apples). There are delicious honey and waxy impressions too and after some breathing the vanilla-toffee notes grow stronger while the fruits retreat somewhat. The sherry stays in the background, obviously the sherry casks were rather depleted but I do not miss anything to be honest.
Вкус	88	The taste is sweet on sugars, fruits and honeys with spicy and herbal flavours. Again, there is almost no sherry to detect first but if you chew the dram for some time it dares to show up with sour-sweet winey impressions. The taste is not layered but nicely balanced and without any flaw.
Финиш	88	The dram arrives warming and slightly coating on the palate without distracting moments. The finish is of medium length and turns more spicy (white peppers, chili) what I like. Water is not needed because it just flattens the dram without releasing new impressions except an unpleasant bitter-drying touch.

Nose: Oranges, raisins, baked apple, oak. All refined and balanced. Taste: Full-bodied and beautifully deep, with plenty of oak, fruit, and a touch of refill sherry. Coffee and roasted aromas linger, leaving a lingering oaky, rich, and hazelnut/walnut finish (but the good kind of rich). A very good old whisky. Between 89 and 90 points, I'll give it 89 for now. Reason: The sips build beautifully upon each other. The depth and nutty notes become increasingly intense with every sip. There's also a lingering hint of orange peel or something like a rather dry mandarin orange. It's really advisable to pour 3-4 cl at a time, as it improves with each sip. Depending on the circumstances, it might reach the 90 mark for me.

Again a fantastic nose. Often Glenfarclas manages the sherry bottlings in my opinion not to integrate the alcohol properly. In contrast to the general public I feel the very cheap 105er extremely sprightly and not as pleasant. This special bottling starts with a beguiling nose and concludes as a complex package with true sherry tones such as raisins, dried fruits, spices, light chocolate and roasted aromas.

Nose: mature sherry notes. Light oak cherry / wine notes Taste: From the first sip notes of raisins, varnish. Orange peel and a little pepper are noticeable with subsequent sips. The taste is also nuts and some coffee beans. Rating: 89 | 100 Quite long finish with the taste of orange peel dipped in buckwheat honey. Good thing, I am not hiding it was nice to taste. I like this kind of sherry

Hm. I'm not sure. I find him completely different than the predecessors from the series. There are few piglets that inspire me. But this series is one of them. Here I was a little surprised by a sourish bread note and the tobacco.

Нос	—	Very nice legs, though only 46%. This malt spreads and brings its own "bouquet" with it. Nice fruity, oranges, cherries, then suddenly tobacco and cereal notes. Some wood and slightly earthy, wet forest soil.
Вкус	—	Spicy, oily and almost sticky. First a bit spicy, then the above fruits come with some citrus. Sourly unbaked bread dough! Slightly bitter oak and slightly woody. A little choco, Jaffa cake and a few raisins and nuts.
Финиш	—	Medium to long finish with some dryness and tobacco. I would not have expected that at a Glenfarclas. But he comes back later with some Kircharoma.

The No. 20 has a great balanced nose that shows age, clear wood notes, typical citrus notes, complexity but also sweetness and fruitiness. Taste and finish are already dominated by softwood and resin. Interesting! All in all, much better than No. 19, but personally I prefer the No. 18 in the taste due to its fruitiness and heavy sweetness.

Нос	—	Like all GF editions I've tried, Malt needs some time in the glass before he's a bit alcoholic. Then come first clear citrus, orange, some peach at the same time sweet / sugared, oak and bitterness are already evident in the aroma, in addition to leather and light pipe tobacco, lighter fruits, sour apple but also sweet cherries. Now and then a torrent of candied fruit comes and the apple becomes a baked apple, rarely dried fruit, raisins, again a pile of fresh firewood, pine needle and resin. The woody notes are getting stronger. In the 2nd nose as expected sweeter with vanilla and a touch of white chocolate. The nose goes in the direction of No. 19, but is much better, rounder, more balanced but also woodier. Just from the nose hold No. 18 and no. 20 in the quality of the balance, albeit in different directions, no. 19 drops off a bit.

Нос	—	Elegant. Sweet. Somewhat dry (Oloroso) sherry nose. Honey. Vanilla. Sweet malt. Orange.
Вкус	—	Fine, light texture but intense taste. Toasty aromas. Fine dark chocolate.
Финиш	—	Coffee. Fine bitterness.

COLOUR: copper (without dye) - an ultimate great sherry whisky! - absolute top malt - very great taste experience and great combination of fruit, sherry and age - so I say worth every euro up to 200€, for me too definitely worth more (in terms of taste), whether it is now 400 - 500 € must be ..... is probably due to the crazy time ...

The nose is wonderfully fruity, the aroma has already distributed in the entire room when pouring. The taste of the Glenfarclas is delicious but very own. Leather, tobacco and wood dominate the taste and the finish. An interesting and delicious drop.

Нос	—	Strong and intense amber. The drops stay on the glass wall for a long time. Already when pouring the Glenfarclas exudes a wonderfully fruity aroma and fill the room with a wonderful fragrance. Dark fruits mix with a very fine bitter wood note. Now, fruity cherries suddenly dominate which, over time, turn into an aroma of overripe bananas and oranges. The alcohol is now also more noticeable. Slight spiciness occurs while the drops oily and creamy slowly back into the glass.
Вкус	—	Cherry flashes briefly before spicy and fruity wood dominates the foreground. The spicy and intense woody aroma exudes a chubby mouthfeel. Нос	88	Super round and mild, rather no smoke, if, then only minimal. Reminiscent of Springbank or Glenfarclas. Rather bourbon, but maybe also PX. Approx. 18-22 years, 46-48%, apple, pear, orange.
Вкус	87	Again super round, no alcohol at the start, a bit more taste in the middle, sweet fruitiness, vanilla, a bit too flabby, but tasty and round.
Финиш	88	It fits
