В большинстве отзывов нос и вкус описываются через насыщенную шерри-составляющую: изюм, чернослив, вишня, цукаты, тёмный шоколад, мокко, мёд, марципан и орехи (грецкий орех, лесной орех, миндаль). Несколько отзывов отдельно отмечают маслянистую, обволакивающую текстуру и «шерри-бомбовый» характер. Встречаются также ноты кожи, табака, специй (корица, имбирь, мускатный орех), ванили и дуба. Один отзыв упоминает цветочные и травянистые оттенки (лаванда, шалфей, мята), а другой — лекарственные травы (мята, бузина, шалфей) и даже «жжёный пластик» в носу. Финиш в отзывах чаще описывается как долгий или очень долгий, с шоколадом, мокко, изюмом, вишней, мятой и дубом; в одном отзыве он назван «ультрадолгим» с мятно-солёным началом и травянисто-цветочным развитием. Нос 90 Walnut shell with a lot of marzipan around it.
Вкус 91 Nutty, almost walnut, some hazelnut traces, melting oily marzipan. Really pleasant and full in the mouth, warm and oily in the throat.
Финиш 89 Quite long finish, a bit of lavender at the very end. Very light sparks of sage. Lavender was a bit unwelcome and not matching the taste. A bit out of scope. Hence the 89 for the finish. Still great however.

Tasted at Sherry Butt, Paris 12/17. A great classic, a truly great whisky. One of my favorite Glendronach single cask bottlings ever.

Нос 94 Complex and distinguished. Sherry with notes of spices (roasted almonds) and candied fruits (apricots and candied oranges); it then becomes floral; it constantly evolves, also in the register of red fruits (strawberry) and exotic fruits. Fabulous!
Вкус 93 With an oriental sweetness and incredible complexity but at the same time powerful like a good highlander! Divine sherry, complex and subtle blend of dried fruits (plums, dates, raisins), honey, raisins, dark chocolate, always the floral side in the background, very fresh, a little lemony.
Финиш 93 Ultra long, initially minty and saline, it then becomes heady, the floral/herbaceous side taking over. Retro-olfaction: chocolate, licorice on herbs.

Нос — Cape gooseberry, raisin, prune, mocha, cranberry, toffee and tobacco. A malty touch when adding water.

Нос — Your typical GlenDronach: Dense and syrupy sweetness from dried preserved fruits. Dried nutmeg, hints of ginger, and nice coffee aroma. More overripe fruits, and more dark chocolate as well.
Вкус — Fresh and soft, dried fruit sweetness as promised by the nose. Raisin, candy, sweets, liquorice. Some nuttiness appears. Slight hint of mint on the back.
Финиш — Dark chocolate, espresso. Medium long finish. Refreshing and mouth watering.

Very nice warming whisky, the sherryvat influences come into their own very well. Fun to drink this.

Нос 90 Sherry! Raisins, toffee, oak perfume. After a sip, the nose is very cognac like, with perfumy woods and dried fruits all over the place!
Вкус 91 Wow, sweet sherry, toffee, raisin conquer the palate! In the middle oily, minty, oakiness took over and dark chocolate mint with coffee at the end! Mouth watering, tongue coating, sherry bursting!

Нос 86 Sherry, oak and burnt plastic
Вкус 90 Dry, medicinal herbs. Specifically peppermint, elder, sage and cowslip. Mostly the last, that bitter and numb feeling.
Финиш 89 Grape punch in the throat. Welch's concentrated grape juice right in the hatch.

Very intense nose of raisins and cherries, embedded in marzipan. These aromas are then confirmed on the palate. Dark chocolate, pickled plums and even a little toasted walnut are added. Very oily mouthfeel. In the very long finish, there is also a nice oak flavor. A very successful malt which is worth 92 points (93/91/92).

Special occasion, special dram. What a color. What an odor! A pleasant acid, dissolved in an oak beam, is your nose. Something like that. I am a big fan of Glendronach, even though prices are going up too fast. The taste is bitter, sour and sour - but all mainly of the interesting kind, as can be the case with really good dishes. There is a sweet tooth in the distance. This grows with every sip. Boy. From maggi and salt flavors to tropical spices, cinnamon, anise. The comparison with the (rightly) immensely popular 18YO Allerdice is impossible, this is of a different order. This mainly points out my lack of experience and even my limited vocabulary; it is very special, very tasty and I cannot explain why at all. This is simply great in any case. And then, suddenly, up. And that is disappointing.
