Very pleasant malt is not as expressive as 14Y Exlusive. We will find everything that Glenallachie loves its fans, the sweetness of candied plums and nutrients, the lightness of oak, molecular butteriness and the lightness of delicate spices.

This is without any doubt the best GlenAllachie I have tasted to date. Naturally based on my personal taste preference, but this bottling has everything I look for in a whisky: intensity, layering, and an impressive balance. From the very first moment, it shows that it has something special. What truly sets this whisky apart is the way it develops. Every sip brings out new nuances, and despite its robust alcohol percentage of 55.7%, it remains surprisingly accessible. This is a bottling that effortlessly demonstrates why GlenAllachie has built such a strong reputation over the past few years. This GlenAllachie shows what is possible when intensity, balance, and complexity come together perfectly. It is a whisky that effortlessly combines power and elegance, making your glass interesting time and time again. For me personally, this bottling stands by far at the top of the GlenAllachie's I have tasted so far. A whisky that not only impresses, but also proves that a high alcohol percentage and finesse go together perfectly.

Next, deeper notes of licorice, leather, and tobacco emerge, beautifully supported by vanilla custard, purple plums, and oak. Caramel, butter, and milk chocolate complete the picture and create a rich, dessert-like impression without ever becoming heavy. A nose in which you effortlessly keep discovering.

Sweet and slightly savory notes go hand in hand, while caramel, vanilla, and dark fruit predominate. Blueberries and blackberries provide freshness and depth. Perhaps the most impressive aspect is how well the alcohol is integrated. The 55.7% alcohol is barely noticeable and contributes primarily to the intensity and structure of the whisky.

Нос	90	Dark, ripe, strong fruit tea, cranberries, raisins, dried plums, blackcurrant juice, forest fruits, sweet cherries, cherries resin, it gets very sweet, cherry jam, jam, plum jam, then still a hint of tartness, moisture, earthiness, some dirty vibes at the end.

Blind tasting Nose: Classic sherry nose, which is carried by a lot of alcohol. The focus is less on fruit than on strong spiciness and lots of wood. Dark chocolate. Sourdough. Some shoe polish. dried fruit. Mouth: The alcohol hits hard. Then immediately wonderfully sweet sherry that comes without any sulphur. The tongue tickles a little. There is a slightly sour fruit note of currants. Despite the immense alcohol strength, the whisky has a very nice creaminess. Finish: Malty, sweetish finish. Medium length. Conclusion/Tip: Exactly my case. Drinkable Speysider with a lot of steam, definitely over 55%. Not completely overloaded with sherry. No missing grades whatsoever. Reminds me of the Glenfarclas 105. De has a similar subtle sherry aroma and drinkability despite its 60%.

There’s a noticeable tsuyu-like savory aroma accompanied by ripe plums and plenty of vanilla. Though not dominant, roasted almonds and dark chocolate add a gentle nuttiness, with a hint of nutmeg. Overall, despite the dried-berry character, the sherry profile leans bright, and the spices are minimal—limited mostly to vanilla and nutmeg typical of American oak–seasoned Oloroso.
Вкус	87	The first sip delivers orangette-like sweet orange, raspberry, and a lively burst of grapefruit acidity. Moving into the mid-palate, the raspberry and grapefruit continue while tannic bitterness reminiscent of walnut skin emerges. Hazelnut and dark chocolate give a toasty, bittersweet depth, balanced by a generous caramel sweetness. When rolled around the palate, grapefruit and caramel stretch out, joined by a savory, reduced-tomato–sauce umami note and a subtle touch of oregano. Consistent with the nose, it feels like Oloroso sherry seasoned into American oak—very little spice, but excellent acidity and particularly impressive umami.

Nose: intense, sweet and incredibly fruity, sweet citrus intertwined with red fruits such as cherries and cherries, strawberries and multi-berry jam, additionally sweet chocolate-nougat aromas, salty nuts, spice and a bit of dry herbs. Taste: Dense, oily, extremely fruity, dominated by red fruits, strawberries, raspberries in chocolate, milk chocolate, nougat, candied cherries, chocolate after 8 chocolates with mint filling, cinnamon, coffee with a sprinkle of nuts, a pinch of salt. Finish: medium to long, pleasantly sweet, chocolate, cocoa, nuts, raisins, blueberry jam, spices, sweet citrus. Rating 89.25 The best of the 22 Glenallachies I've had, very complex, and incredibly light at 55.7%. Alcohol completely imperceptible at any stage.
