I have changed my mind several times about this Oloroso cask. At first it didn't taste good at all, then it got better. -and now less again. Sorry Glenallachie, others are clearly better, like 2006 PX for Sherrybomb, Madeira Cask, Virgin Oak and Rioja Cask. The. are very good. Glenallachie's are the best not Chichibu's or yamazaki's at a tenth the price of Chichibu's. Good. Most similar to the also good Kavalan. But the Kavalan Sherry Cask (also Oloroso) is much better and even cheaper.

Вкус	71	Too much wood bringing bitterness on the id palate. The sherry is overpowering. This isn’t a well balanced whisky for me.

Nose: Red and dark fruits, strawberries, cranberries, currants, cherry liqueur, wood varnish/stain, honey, caramel, hard candy, sweet oranges, cinnamon, chocolate. Taste: Cherry liqueur, strawberry liqueur, Haribo jelly candies, exceptionally many red fruits, dark dried fruits, multi-berry jams, raisins in dark rum, red currant, citrus fruits, dark chocolate caramel, nuts, pepper, herbs. Finish: Medium long, similar to taste, lots of red fruits, liqueur, Haribo jelly beans, citrus, caramel.

The wood has an interesting influence. Blindly, I would guess Mizunara, combined with cherries. Not outstanding, but exceptional. 86-90 – Wow, really good one, needs a bottle

My conclusion on the Glenallachie 14yo for the UK Color : amber I find it very tasty, but the sample is enough for me here and I would only buy it if it were in the price range of €50-70. It's not bad, but it's nothing special, which is why it only got 83/100 points.

Nose: Worcestershire, nougat, chocolate, spice, paprika powder, very spicy, rather little fruit, marjoram?, even more chocolate, heavy with a lot of barrel influence, nuts, morning coffee (espresso), bacon-like, lovage, little (not overpowering), dark bread with a subtle sweetness, bay leaf and rosemary, cherries, cinnamon, gingerbread Mouth-wood, brown sugar, molasses, bitter, astringent, warming, nutty, dark cocoa in cake batter, burnt cake base I can't quite understand the high ratings. The whisky has too strong an influence from the cask, it tastes too bitter, and the alcohol is still a bit too prominent.

Nose:... malt, forest honeydew honey, vanilla, peaches, dried apricots, tannins, fruity tobacco, marzipan, Malaga Taste... dark chocolate, candied pineapple, subtle Oloroso, old oak, menthol candies, gooseberries, blackcurrant Finish... long, balanced - chai, cherries in syrup, maple syrup, cocoa, spices, very well-structured This is a whisky that demonstrates how powerful a finish can be in the right hands. 27 years old, it has balance, depth, and class—everything a great dram should have.

A lot of sherry and spices, the more spicy ones, alcohol very well hidden, fig jam with strawberries, leather, baked red fruits, chocolate, a bit of coffee with milk Finish..very long but completely sufficient and good, incredibly drinkable whisky that you want to have in your glass all the time, there is also a bit of chili which makes it flow perfectly and stays on the palate and warms up.
