Far less emotional/'bovered’ than us about the Brora, “yummy yum yum” is what came from Tex’s mouth after smelling this waxy sweet, uber-squidgy sherried malt. T: A moorish bitter-sweet, firmly cask-centric delivery & development. F: The oloroso kinda spoils the illusion of anything more than the sum of its parts, though the parts are very fine. C: It’s easy to get carried away by these heavily sherried malts. Given it is a sherry bomb, the colour [SW], the moniker and deserved reputation of Glendronach, this tasty dram proved very popular on the night. Besides the Brora however, this is a few leagues away.

Wow pure chocolate on the nose, slightly nut, quite sweet, noble drops in nut, raisins, very light, creamy in the mouth, nut, chocolate, roasted aromas, raisins, very yummy, behind like liquid chocolate, hardly any wood, very pleasant

Very tasty malt with significantly more steam than the 21yo standard - I still don't think PLV is that great ~300€ and I've had better single casks around 200€ Overall, it is significantly less intense than other 1993 casks - and thus massively overpriced even at the €400 issue.

Нос 89 Red berries (raspberries, cassis) - rather light with noble elegance and a certain lightness, which is rather unusual for GlenDronach SC, a hint of sulphurous vegetable broth (delicious), carnauba wax shoe polish, tobacco with orange oil, prunes in Madeira, peanut butter, chocolate sauce, wax, "old Church pew" oak sanding dust
Вкус 88 Pepper, tobacco, plum jam, creamy caramel, milk chocolate, clearly noticeable spice forms a nice balance with the fruitiness, you can almost feel oak particles in the mouth - when chewing it becomes leathery without becoming furry, some orange and mint, salt, with a large ladle chocolate sauce
Финиш 88 syrupy, a lot of chocolate and leather, flower nectar, tart with remnants of plums and berries - medium to long

Gorgeous dark red-brown color. N: Rich, fat, pungent nose. Funky, musky, nutty Oloroso scents really come through. Dark fruit. P:Spicy entry. The "oloroso" nuttiness really comes through on the palette. Slightly salty. Then sour along with dark chocolate and some citrus, probably Orange F:Long, warm tail. Has a nice, spicy, bitter bite.

Nose: Nice, elegant sherry nose! Sweet, prunes, currants, fruit bread, wax, shoe polish, a touch of sulfur so towards matches, honey, tobacco, nutmeg, later also some lime juice and vanilla. Taste: Creamy, dark chocolate, plum jam, black pepper, oranges, vanilla, wax, chocolate pudding, wild berries, oak cabinet and old books finish: Dark chocolate with orange zest and leather a class of malt and a worthy representative for this bus! 91/100

He is good. The nose is incredibly complex, but it also takes some time in the glass to reveal as many flavors as possible. The taste fits quite well to the nose. Sufficient bite is also present. The bitterness is not too penetrating and the finish has decent length with oak cargo. Delicious!

Нос 92 First, dark fruits, alcohol, spices and wax on the nose. Shoe polish is added. Lemon balm and vanilla next. The alcohol appears again and it follows a sour note. Over time, suddenly chocolate and syrup. Wild mushrooms.
Вкус 89 Starting extremely sweet, then vanilla, shoe polish and dark fruits. The wax appears again. The alcohol is quite strong, but the whisky is surprisingly soft.
Финиш 89 The finish is long with fruit, shoe polish, wax, oak and moderate bitterness.

A "fat" Sherrymalt, sweet, with dried fruit, some tobacco, leather, old oak furniture. Very voluminous, in the mouth even more than in the nose.
